As we approach the end of 2022 we’re taking some time to dig into the archives and select some of our most profound A-ha moments and share our insights in the hope you’ll take these lessons into 2023 and beyond…

A-ha Moment 1: Deep Work & Focused Mode

They say a change is as good as a rest, and this was certainly the case for Kieran with this A-ha Moment. A week away from the office helped Kieran disconnect from distractions so that he could focus on work and getting stuff done!

Check out the video to learn how deep work can benefit you and your time.

Lesson: Switch up your working environment and try to get away from the norm to get a burst of energy and focus.  Prioritise your time and carve out chunks of time to focus on important tasks.

Having a business plan is an essential for a business owner for a multitude of reasons.  Not only for funding purposes, but it is a great North Star to keep you on track in relation to your achieving your goals as a business owner.

In this A-ha moment Kieran explores the benefits of sketching out a new plan for scratch, why starting from the unknown helps and how building your plan from a blank page can yield unexpected results.

Lesson: Think back to why you started the business, and examine where you are today.

A-ha Moment 3: Decisions, Promises and Making Things

You must make your business work for you and your lifestyle.  You should be running your business not to the detriment of other areas of your life.

Kieran explores why keeping your word is essential in both your business and personal life.  Furthermore, think about the stories you are telling yourself – keep yourself accountable and don’t make excuses.  Lastly, be realistic with your time – in other words don’t make promises you can’t keep.

Lesson: Keep your promises and create processes to keep yourself accountable.
